Super helpful for a work project, thanks man!
Glad it helped! Thanks for watching!
Great tutorial! Well narrated, easy to follow along with, and a simple yet effective approach.
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it!
The reason this tutorial is so helpful is because you're actually teaching us WHY you're doing things. So many other videos are just a sped up AI voice spitting instructions at you. You don't learn anything if you're just blindly following steps not knowing why you're doing it. Thank you for this, I'm definitely going to check out your other stuff.
I appreciate that! Thanks for watching! 😃
Worth to note that I didn't get the results shown until, I switched the blend mode in the material settings from opaque to alpha hashed.
no 🤦♂️; booleans rn are not good practice in GN. How is this a beginner's tutorial? You should be teaching how things work and explaining it more. If it's not for beginners, then you don't have to explain as much and could be more high level, but this effect isn't really that complex etc. to warrant an advanced / intermediate tutorial. And I don't think the tutorial that is just "add this, this, and this node" appeals to anyone (not that yours is all like that, but kinda is a bit.). I think you lost both audiences 😅. This would be really hard for a beginner and be kinda boring for more advanced GN. Maybe some people 🤷♂️, who like to figure things out why themselves. Keep trying, I guess. I like how you used the normal for the offset. It shows you know what you are doing a bit more than the other UA-cam tutorialists. it bugs me so much when they keep subtracting 0.5 when they could just uncheck "normlize" on the noise 😫.
Great tutorial ❤❤
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it!
one word.....WOW
Donut I see 🍩
Could you remake this for 4.2?
Good idea! Maybe I’ll do a longer form video on that.
bro i love it , please make some more advanced tutorials
Thanks! And will do! 💪
Nice.
Nice! 🍩🍩🍩

Sorry I am having a lot of difficulty following your tutorial. I followed your every step but did not get the same results. The Geo Nodes section seems to be out of focus all the time and it is hard to determine what values you are using. Explaining which Geo Node you are going to use and why would help immensely for beginners like me.
I am having some difficulty following your tutorial because you have not specified what units you are using. I loaded the file you provided and its units is set to Imperial and using the values you suggest makes weird things happen. The render is set to cycles, I only have Eevee.
Hey Alfred, sorry about those issues. If you shoot me an email I’d be happy to help walk you through some of these.
@@KenanProffitt Thank you for replying. I am going to try again from the beginning and see if it was something I overlooked. I hate to give up. I have difficulty with Geo Nodes until I discover how to determine what Geo Node will do the action I want to execute. e.g. I had quite a challenge to find out how to do an 'Inset' using Geo Nodes, but after a few tutorials I did discover how to do it because I understood each Geo Node was chosen and why. As far as the Scene settings I have set it up to Metric. Just to let you know, I am retired and I do Blender just as a hobby strictly for pleasure.🙂
Excellent GN tutorial!
Thanks Gary! Glad you liked it!
This just promotes obesity...in cops
Spit my coffee out laughing at this one 😂
Ohh yt@jakobdesign8066 has a whole series about making a donut with geonodes! I wonder how this video will compare to that... 👀
Bro, great tutorial! You're one of my favorite UA-cam Blender guys.
Thanks! Really appreciate you watching and dropping a comment. 😎
Thank you for this tutorial. Hope you will teach more on how these nodes work and what they do😅😊
Glad you enjoyed it. And you got it! 👍
cool, thanks!
You’re welcome!
The movie clip editor does show stabilized image, but it always renders original unstabilized no matter what I do.
Crazyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy
It’s pretty awesome!😎🔥
😃
Thank you very much you gave me answers to my questions
no matter what i do i cant even get the leaves to appear
New version of this tutorial is out! ua-cam.com/video/blZyE5h2S58/v-deo.htmlsi=_SL_MT-qYLvLAbVU
this is awesome
very helpful! 👍

@@KenanProffitt i’ll be here all week, folks.
this is the quickest ive learned something... thank you so much
handy tip dude!
The sudden "And that's it, thanks for watching!" after only minutes into the video is a staple you should keep doing. It adds hilarous entertainment value. Screen hotkey annotations might be a thing to consider in the future. Keep up the good work!
ahahaha yes!
Thats literally fire 🔥🔥🔥
Am I the only one that thinks that looks like some type of weird lizard thing wearing a hat
I just followed this tutorial and when I got to adding the leaves they wont appear no matter what setting I change. Could there be something I'm missing? I used the maple leaf file provided in the description of this video. I have the probability all the way up and everything is connected properly. The scale is super high already and I already messed with the less than and greater than and nothing changed. I'm very confused if anyone could help I would appreciate it.
Try changing the count on the Resample Curve node that plugs into the Instance on Points node for the leaf group, fixed the same problem for me. If you look around the 32:21 section it has been changed to 4. Hope that helps :)
@@mintermusic5683thanks brother 😊
hello bro i am trying to apply a texture put it just changes the color of the mountain and does nothing
Cool😊
Watch out miss homelander is here
💪
It's Ctrl+J ("Join to new frame"), at least in Blender 4.2
And get the worst rig ever :))
Haha yeah it’s not a great rig. But fun to mess around with Mocap data at least. 😅
You're nicely organizing everything in collections, just like I do when fracturing things. However it is painful to watch how you are selecting and deselecting objects you did not mean to select or hiding and unhiding the floor etc. What I usually do is, my default scene has the Selectability toggle showing in the Outliner. This way I can have everything visible if I maybe need the visual reference or something like that, but make all collections unselectable apart from the one I'm working on, like the constraints for example.
That's quoting Alfred from "The Dark Knight". A favourite of mine 👍 ("some men" not people, but okay 😁)
Do this for Camila Harris
😆
Itza me! 😃
I dont know why but my laser texture is not intense at all i don't know what to do but i am trying to figure it out 😅 btw W tutorial
Another layer for wide flare background blur?
This is so nice! Was looking for a way to avoid using simulation. Although with EEVEE next have to modify a bit.
I download the file but im having trouble appending it to blender. Whenever I select the file, the whole folder opens up, then when I select a specific flame and press append, my blender quits.
Hey There! This video might help ua-cam.com/video/0TjA13TnsmA/v-deo.htmlsi=6t2SGxhLEMGDmOtj&t=172 (starting at 2:52) you can append the scene group and add it your scene collection. I would also check to make sure you have the latest version of Blender. Hope this helps!
2.35 thnx to watching 😝😄😄😄🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Great tutorial absolutely love the results! But I'm encountering an issue when layering flames, I get these weird little black bits. I'm rendering with cycles if anyone can help pls!
Hey there! Try cranking up the transparency passes in your render settings. That should take care of that. :)
